Black Lives Matter The University Forum for HRD stands in solidarity with our black colleagues and students. It is vital that the UFHRD and the individuals and institutions it represents, reflect on and take steps to create contexts to facilitate education, research and practice which is welcoming, inclusive, free from discrimination and develops people with the knowledge and values for a just and equitable society. The Forum is committed to supporting eradication of racism in all its forms. In line with the Academy of HRD the UFHRD is committed to initiating dialogue and learning about racism, without expecting our Black colleagues to do it for us. The Academy and the University Forum share a field devoted to learning, development, and change of human behaviour, and so we cannot remain silent about systemic racism and its consequences. As part of the 2020 Strategic Review of UFHRD we have formed a group to establish the Forum’s Values and Principles which will include equality, diversity and inclusion.
